Some Soccer & Photoshop Actions

I know I've been missing for a few days, but Lloyd has been out of town for the last week and will be again for the next 3 days. Plus soccer has started and I'm a tired (single) mom with 5 kids that are in desperate need of a nanny or is it school? Plus I need to get packing for our week trek to the coast this weekend, that alone is a huge task in & of itself.

Anyway I was a good soccer mom and took my camera to his practice to watch him learn "Headers" & also to get shots of the other kiddos entertaining themselves. I've been messing around with them in photoshop (my new best friend) and the above are the pictures that I played with. AGAIN I'm just messing around and really have NO flaming idea what the hay I am doing. But I kinda liked the way these turned out. I hope you enjoyed my most boring post ever. Well my pillow is calling my name tomorrow morning cometh too soon. P.S. it was so flipping hot today my car told me it was 97. Yuck!

Side note: Sorry Mom there are no pictures of Mr. P as he was with his dad for the day.

I Need Beach Tips

So we are going to the Oregon Coast (Lincoln City) from July 5th-10th and having never been to a beach with children do any of you bloggers out there have any tips on what I should take and things that are helpful besides sunscreen and towels? I did learn one tip from my friend Ellen and that was to use baby powder to get sand off. She said it works great! Also if any of you have been to Lincoln City what things are there to do? HELP!!

Because He's Grandpa That's Why!

Well as you can tell that's not me feeding my 7 1/2 month old daughter Cola soda (caffeine free). Tisk, tisk Grandpa.......But you know what, She LOVED it! I better watch this girl, gotta keep her off the sauce.

Okay enough with the photo intro, the kids and I are in Tri-Cities visiting my parents. This is the only time I could get up here before soccer starts and before our vacation to the Oregon coast. So we came up yesterday and will be going home Monday. We have been visiting and also doing a little retail shopping.

I had to get myself to a scrapbook store and restock my supplies because I am having a scrapbook getaway as soon as we get back from the beach and I mean as soon as. My lovely little friend Shauna is coming from Idaho and She, Bridget, Myself & whoever else wants to join us are going to scrapbook until our eyeballs fall out. Should be a blast I can't wait. Well time to get my kiddies to bed. It's been a long exhausting day shopping. Don't you just feel sorry for me? Just kidding! Later.

Note to self: Addison's top left eye tooth broke through today. 6 teeth total: 4 top, 2 bottom.

Black Paint - Chapter 1

Well yesterday was a really rough day (more plumbing septic issues & then some), so around midnight I was playing the "hazmat" role and bleached my bathroom and the more I cleaned the madder I got. So to blow off some steam I painted my bathroom vanity. I love it black & this is how I always wanted it to look. Although it still needs the drawer front for the bottom which is a pull out step stool for the kids but it's getting there. Now I need to paint the cabinet next to it. Things are slowly coming together. And now Judy, Agnes & Marge match something in the room! I think I should get mad more often, I get things done.

These ladies are in my bathroom & I ♥ them. They just seem to fit my bathroom to a "T" these are made by the artist Lowell Herrero. I actually saw these at my Sister- In- Laws house in her guest bathroom and had to have them. I got them at the Prints Plus store at the Mall in Provo. I'm thinking about cutting the pictures down a little so you don't see any white and reframing them. But for now I'll have to stick with what I've got. Sorry for the lame'o post but seeing as my furniture is not getting painted as quickly as I'd like I figured I'd post some form of decor cuteness, that I actually have done that is. We are going to the beach the beginning of July and I'm sure that I will look like one of these gals strutting my stuff on the beach. Yeah those will be good times...

Sorry for the glare on the pictures, we have a very small bathroom so there is not much room to move around. We so need another bathroom.

Fathers Day

Father's Day this year consisted of:

Breakfast of Pancakes with strawberries & cool whip with a side of sausage.

Church which we were early for.

A now happy baby who broke through another top tooth which gives her a grand total of 5.Lunch of Beef roast, potatoes, and steamed carrots.

A 3 1/2 yr old who thought dessert (The Pioneer Woman's chocolate sheet cake) was so good he had to have 2nd helpings plus he licked his plate clean. Recipe link hereGifts for Lloyd, I made him an Altered Pen holder for work (thank you Wal-Mart clearance section, only $2 bucks, the love of mod podge & the ability to craft under pressure at the 11th hour) I also got him a Craftsman tool bag & Craftsman cell phone holder. Had to give him something a little manly after the foo foo scrapbook gift. Nope no photo of those I know you girls aren't here to see manly stuff! Just don't laugh at my thrown together gift.

And I managed a quick couple of shots of Lloyd & the kids while at his folks house I couldn't help it, his mom's flowers are so pretty right now. Here is the Happy Father's Day shot and........ I told all the kids to look at Lloyd, & they did and this is the face I got from dear ole' dad. Err?? Happy Fathers Day??? Lets just say I could laugh and I did!
