{ Teacher Gifts 2013 - Part 2 }

Okay here are the rest of the Teacher Gifts that I did this year.
The Ruffle Apron's I've been making, are totally inspired by the Whatever Blog by Meg Duerksen. I've been an avid reader of her blog forever and am totally in love with her style and her craft weekends! I've seen hundreds of ruffled aprons, but her mix of fabrics just makes me want to craft!

This is the apron I made for Corbin's Teacher,
I so so so love how it turned out.

This one I already posted about, but here it is again. I made this one for Addison's Teacher.
Brinley had a male Teacher this year, and one of his most favorite things is Beef Jerky.

So I cut out a quick cardboard frame and printed out the note, then adhered it all to some manly scrapbook paper. Then, I stapled it to the package of Jerky.
He loved it!
We are into the full swing of summer vacation, in fact I have 8 kids at my house at this very moment. My friend Brooke is on her way home from The Farm Chicks Show and her booth did AMAZING, so I'm having her kiddo's over for the day.

PS. i miss school and all our fabulous teacher so much already.

i only have to make 2 gifts, the 3rd is a male teacher and his will be store bought.

my other 2 kids have too many teachers to "make stuff" for so, i think i will make them a simple thank you with some chocolate attached. everyone likes chocolate right?

{ Teacher Gifts ~ 2012 }

Yup, I'll admit it, I'm slow at this whole blogging gig,
and I apologize. But our family has been dealing with some dramatic changes and sometimes you just have to be still & ignore all the outside distractions.

BUT, here I am with a few minutes to spare in my day, to share with you the teacher gifts we made at the end of this school year.

I've always loved the look of silverware necklaces & I secretly coveted several of them on Etsy. Sadly my checking account couldn't afford them x4 & frankly, coveting is bad.
So I decided to take the silverware by the handle and make them myself
(well, I had a little help from my man).
Each of my kids choose what they wanted for their teachers and the above is what we came up with.

Parker, Brinley & Addison all wanted necklaces for their teachers and Corbin choose a custom key ring for his. We loved how they turned out and so did the teachers.

So Thank You Teachers , for your unfailing & never ending support/hard work you put in for our kids.

We love, and I in particular, miss you all terribly.

{ Saint Patrick's Day Teacher Gifts }

I threw these little gifts together last night and I think they turned out pretty cute.

Here is what I used:
~Bag of Rolo Candies
~Green Baby Shower Gift boxes from the Dollar Tree
~Ribbon from Wal-Mart
~Tape

1. I printed the tags and cut them out but left the white on both ends.
2. I filled the bottom of each box with some green streamers that I had left over from a birthday party (you could use what ever you have on hand)
3. Throw in some Rolo's
4. Eat a couple Rolo's :)
5. Close the box and wrap the tags around the box and tape it on the bottom.
Note: I found it worked best when I wrapped it once, then took it off and creased the edges and taped it on.
6. Tie a little piece of Ribbon on each handle.

Easy Peasy!

I really wanted to find some little buckets but this town we live in wasn't providing the goods, so the Dollar Tree baby shower boxes had to do. I figured they were a shade of green so they would work.

DON'T FORGET TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY WHICH ENDS  ON 3.23.11!
GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED!
Have a Fan-Tabulous Weekend!!

{ Teacher Gifts For The 1st Day Of School }

Well school starts for my kiddo's tomorrow and we are excited.
It just feels like fall for some reason and the smell of new pencils & school supplies are only adding to the kids excitement.

These are the gifts that I made up for each of the kids teachers. I wish I could say that I came up with this idea, but thanks to the blogging world I got this idea & vinyl from this Etsy Store.
Can you tell which ribbon I ran out of? :)
I wanted all 3 to be like the small glass jar (Mrs.Crayton's) but living in this blessed little town I was only able to find 1 of these jars. So the other 2 are larger hurricane ones that I picked up at Wal-mart and had to fill them with 3 times the amount of pencils.
 It's all good though these teachers are worth it. I do hope that they like them :)

Well I must start dinner and make sure the kids have all their school stuff ready to go that yellow school bus will be here at 7:20 tomorrow morning. The clock is ticking!

{ This Post Brought To You By The Number 3 }

Well for some reason this past Thursday my day seemed to revolve around the Number
1. I went to the kids last school assembly where my 3 kids got 3 awards they didn't know they were getting.

2. Then I sat through 3 Student led conferences where my 3 kids showed me all their accomplishments they did in school this year. I was at the school for 3 hours.

3. I made 3 Teacher thank you gift's (which I thought turned out stinking cute, thank you Heidi Swapp).

4. Went to Parker's last b-ball game & watched him Bat 3 times, I also was in charge of snacks so i took doughnuts & came home with only 3 left.

5. Then after the game I made 3 gifts for my 3 Visiting Teaching Gals (which I shamelessly blog lifted from Hilary you have such fabulous ideas thanks).

6. I used 3 spools of Kelly Green Polka Dot Ribbon making the 3 & 3 gifts.

7. Then my friend Melissa (1) and I (2) took our VT gal (3) out for her Birthday dinner.

8. Then I came home and pondered how to finish my 3 Pear Urns that I want to decorate with (I have big decorating plans for stuff around my house I'll update those as I finish them).

See I told you 3's!!! I have never had a day like this one coincidence?
I think not.
Maybe I should start playing the Lotto.
I'm thinking I'll use the number...

{ Teacher Thank You Gifts }

EDITED 5.17.12: Link for the printable tag is at the
bottom of this post!

 I realized yesterday that I had NO gifts for my kids teachers at school.
So after the kids awards assembly this morning I ran to Wal-Mart and did a little thank you shopping.

I have thoroughly loved all of my kids teachers and this year was no exception. All of the kids' teacher's are so great & they all genuinely love each of their kids in class. LOVE THAT. Anyway I was a total slacker & procrastinator and had to use last years idea (which I got from Heidi Swapp). Hey my brain is goo but at least I did something, then I waited for the kids to get home off the bus (only because I was still putting them together) then we ran off to the school in hopes that the teacher's would still be there.
We were in luck and they all LOVED this gift.
It always seem to be a big hit.
 I used a beach towel, sunscreen, magazine, and a snack.
Top it all off with a little note and some ribbon.
I love it when things come together quickly.

The last day of school is tomorrow so should be busy.
Maybe now that my kids will be home & I don't have to run around so much I can get some crafts done, heaven knows its been awhile.
