{Off They Went}

I know this post will be really boring to most of you but it's how my blog rolls. School started yesterday and as much as they bickered with each other this summer I'm going to miss them. But can I also say that my house was so nice and quiet when they left. It was my own little form of heaven. They all had a great day & the teachers loved their gifts I do believe that I am now the official pencil supplier for the kids school! I'm hoping that with the kids gone I can get some projects started/finished and posted! I am excited to get my fall decor up I just need to get my house in order before any decorating can happen. So if you'll hang with me for a bit I promise to post something a little more excited for you all to see. :)

  1. I know how you feel. I missed mine so much the first few days, but I would come back from taking them to school and just sit in the house and listen to the silence. Wow, it hasn't been like this in forever. Quite a difference when they come home at the end of the day, but yes, it is nice to be able to think in one complete sentence and go to the bathroom by myself. Enjoy it.

  3. I hear ya. Nice to have them nice to have them gone. Forgot my camera first day of school. Got one the 2nd day of school but they are all bundled up b/c of one of the hurricanes that dumped rain on us. Thought i'd get them today in their dressed up uniforms (thursday is chapel day and they wear ties and jumpers in plaid that i love) but it is to be more than 85 today so they allow shorts and no dress up uniforms. UGH! So i haven't been able to post first day of school pix just yet. Maybe next thursday. Sigh.....

  6. I love the first day of school pics. Mine were a bit odd this year because only 2 of the kids started on the first day. Yah, one a freshman, one in 7th grade and one in elementary. It has been a great week so far, just haven't had time to post yet. Oh, ya soccer started this week too. Enjoy your time while they are at school.

  10. I love how each year you get a picture of the bus in the distance with all them facing it. I just really like that. I want that same pose when Ginger goes to school.

  11. Boy, your kids look NOTHING alike, do they? Tee hee. Yeah, right. I totally know what you're saying about quiet Heaven. . . I am finding MANY ways to procrastinate actually getting things accomplished. I need to get my first quilting project finished. . .

  25. Cute school pics. I sent my youngest off to all-day kindergarten a couple of weeks ago. About killed me. He loves school and I'm loving my free time, so I'm over it. But... I did miss getting the fun pics. He was sick his first day and then they wouldn't let us escort them into the classroom. Not a great photo op time.

    Had fun checking out your blog today. Stop by for a visit any time.
