{Craft Frame- Quick & Easy }

I'm BACK!!!! We have had a whirl wind of things going on and have literally been in the car for the past 3 weekends. But it's been fun and I'm glad to be home for a while.

I've been trying to find some time to squeeze some crafts in here and there, so today I thought I would share this Super Quick & Easy Frame I made last night.
Supplies needed are as follows.

• Glue Gun
• Frame
• Thread Spools
• Card stock
  
• 2 minutes
  

I found the thread spools at our free market last year and simply glued them to some embossed card stock and stuck it in the frame. Seriously how simple is that! You could even glue the spools to some fabric but I was lazy and didn't want to dig into my fabric stash.

{ Will I Ever Craft Again? }

That's the question I have been asking myself for the past 2 weeks.
I feel with all the whirlwind of things going on it's never to happen. Today's my kids official last day of school, technically it's tomorrow but we have a Graduation to go to so we are on our way back to Idaho American Falls this time. Then we are spending 3 days up at Wallowa Lake with my husbands brother & his family.

So between my kids, photography editing, daycare, Etsy, and everything else I feel like I can't catch my breath. Hopefully now that schools out things will slow down a little. Maybe that's just wishful thinking..... All I know is I HAVE TO CRAFT AGAIN & SOON. I can't take my projects staring at me from the corner of the room anymore.

Here's what I've been doing in the mean while.

Well I better get moving, I have an awards assembly to attend in 1 hr and then 2 student led conferences. Then I'm running to the store to get travel snacks & home to meet up with the Direct TV man and I get to finish packing up the car.

{ Boise Here We Come! }

Lucky for us my parents are on the way right now and have offered to take care of our fab 5 while we are away. It will be nice to get away with the hubster and have some kid free time together. I think we may even go to the Olive Garden and do a little light shopping. Everything will be great as long as my flu like symptoms don't return.

I better get my bags packed and make sure my camera gear is all together.

Total Side note:
My 12 yr old rocks today, he has vacuumed the house and is now cleaning the kitchen all without being asked & now Brinley is loading the dishwasher.
I love my kids!!

{ I'm Trying Really I Am }

I am trying to get a little craft tutorial done but have had 8 kids for 2 days now.....

Needless to say the score of the game is:

Kids -2

Crafts -0

So if you wouldn't mind holding just a little while longer I am hoping to get it all pulled together tonight.

Well the hobbits are calling so I better get back to work. :)

{ Out Of Touch }

Captains log day 2

We have been without Internet for 2 days due to a storm we just had or maybe it was just Verizon messing with the phone lines, who knows. I am getting tired of hearing other voices on my telephone along with all the static. Hopefully my connection to the outside world will be restored by 7:00 tonight, at least that's what they tell me.

Right now I'm typing from my husbands laptop which is plugged into his Blackberry, it's not the fastest way to surf the net but I'm grateful to have it.

The Mister has promised me that one of these day's we will have 3G.

Okay I have a 2 yr old telling me she reeks and I would have to agree with her.

{ Shopping Sickness?? }

We just got back from Tri-Cities yesterday and I'm pretty sure I'm coming down with something. I walked out of 3 crafts stores EMPTY HANDED!!
See told you I was sick.

{ Pleated Couch Pillow }

I do love me a cute couch pillow & I've been wanting to make one or two of these ever since we bought our new furniture.
So last night I finally sat down and forced myself to make one.

While blog surfing yesterday in my spare 5 minutes, I found a tutorial using this very Beehive graphic, I planned on using the beehive to begin with but liked her use of numbers so I put a 7 on mine as we have 7 in our family.

The pillow took about 45 minutes to make and was super easy even with the pleated ruffle!

I bought these 2 fabrics that I plan on using to make new slipcovers for my striped pillows that came from IKEA. I think they will look great next to my plaid couch slipcovers. My hope is they will give it more of a Shabby Chic feel.

This beehive graphic can be found at the Graphics Fairy, she has TONS of awesome graphics that you can use for literally hundreds of crafts, and the best part is they are all FREE.

I used Osnaburg Fabric, a pre-made pillow form & Avery light fabric transfers to make this pillow. I think it turned out pretty good for someone who doesn't really sew and I love it's simplicity, now to make a few more!

{ My Smallish Cha Ching! }

So here's proof to myself that it does pay off a little to put Ad's on ones blog.
Yeah I know it's not much, but $ is $ at this point and I appreciate these online companies that help us SAHM out a little.

This little baby is going to be tucked away into our travel savings acct. so we can have some $ for all our adventures this summer.

I was asked to take this cute couples Engagement photo's a while back and here are a few of the final pictures. They were seriously so fun to shoot!
I'm looking forward to their taking their Wedding/Reception pictures at the end of this month. Congrats Logan & Meah, I'll be seeing you soon. :)
