{Pumpkin Maze & Old Roses Mercantile }

LONG POST=MANY PICS!! {You've been warned}

FUN FOR THE KIDS:
I decided at the last minute yesterday that we needed some pumpkins & the kids hadn't been treated to our annual pumpkin pilgrimage for the year. So I picked up Parker from Cub Scouts @ 4:00 and we high tailed it to the Pumpkin patch. The kids had a great time and I spent way to much $moola$ on pumpkins that will be thrown away in due time, but it's tradition so what are ya gonna do?
Anyway we had a good time & at the end of the day we loaded up the Excursion with our numerous pounds of pumpkin prizes.

FUN FOR MOM:
And at this same Pumpkin patch they also have a barn called Old Roses Mercantile (which is always closed when I want to go) and in this barn are all kinds of Fall goodies & crafts.
There is some C.U.T.E. stuff in there and while talking with the owner she said that they take down all the fall stuff after the 31st and the barn turns into Christmas for the winter months!!
I can hardly wait. I also talked with La' owner about making some of my Fabric pumpkins and selling them in her store (she said yes) but that means I have to get some more pumpkins made tonight as the next 2 weekends are her big weekends!!! We'll see, anyway here are some pictures that she kindly let me take inside the store.

The Bath & Body room.
I'm so dying over that green hutch

MORE FALL DECOR: I these awesome pumpkins at our local Grocery Outlet they were only $1.99. I walked out with all they had left which was only 2 of each of these little babies, but aren't they the cutest thing you ever did see! Now to figure out where to display them.
I think I'm turning into a pumpkin whore.
Yes I just said whore on my blog.
That should provide some interesting hits. ;)

Also I'm sorry I've been a bit MIA for the past few days but I've been trying to get my Etsy store up and running.
I'm a little scared to open one only for the fear that I won't sell anything, but I've been stitching up some Fall and Christmas stuff so I'll let you know when that's up and going. Busy Busy!!

  3. I am so excited for you!! If you make 100 pumpkins I know they will ALL sell! You are sooooo talented! I know this for a fact. Guess what came in the mail today? My AMAZING picture! I can't wait to blog about it (DK has my camera so I can't take pictures of it until he gets back from a father/son campout). Anyway...you are going to sell EVERYTHING you make...in the barn and in your etsy shop. I personally can't wait to buy something myself!!!!

  8. Your store will be empty in no time!! I am sure your pumpkins are gonna fly off that store's shelves also. I found some natural pumpkins similar to yours a few summers ago at Garden Ridge for a penny. That's right, a penny!! I bought at least fifty or so-all they had left.
    Can you imagine?!?!
    P.S. I don't know if you have your email on your sidebar, but if not, would you email me at athomeelise@yahoo.com??
    Thanks!!

  16. how fun you all had. I too love pumpkins, and yes, I spend way too much on the dang things as well. On one of our local tv shows, they showed to clean them with soap and water and then spray them with a varnish, they looked all shiny and pretty and they last longer. I thought that was a great idea. Anything to make a buck stretch further!
    Your own etsy? How fun! Of course you wil sell stuff. But, if for some reason it doesn't di what you want it to do, you can have a whole lot of presents on hand. Nthing lost. Besdies, if you didn't do it, you would always wonder what would happen if you had. so, you go GIRL! Can't wait to see what else you have come up with!

I totally feel like a dork blogging because I don't feel like I have anything great to say...and I don't even know how to put pictures on very creatively...but I am doing this for my girls!
