{Book Review Rant-A Good Laugh & A Peek}

Warning: If you are still reading this book. Scroll down until you see the You Tube Movie. I don't want to be the one to give out what happens... You've been warned.
I'm sure I'm going to get some hate mail about this post but I just have to say it. When I finished Breaking Dawn I was disappointed to say the least. After I closed the book I just sat there and said to myself Huh..... And that's what I'm still saying. I'm re-reading the whole series starting from the beginning to see if it was just me reading it all too fast and not taking it in. But I really don't think so. Was was it about this book? Was it the bizarro' pregnancy? The Jacob side of things (which was too long for me) and him imprinting on their baby daughter (sorry I just thought ick...) and I have to ask what was with the ending? Come on I expected a little more than what she wrote, it was all a bunch of talking and mind games in the end. Not that I wanted a war of any kind but it was just so... so... so HUH? I am glad that they ended up together but I think we all knew that was going to happen but is it just me, am I the only one NOT in love with this book's series finale?

Sorry ladies I guess this book just wasn't for me. The movie should be interesting to watch. And speaking of the movie I laughed my bahookie off at this spoof trailer. I needed it after I finished this book.

Okay I promise not to talk about vampire books anymore girl scouts honor! I'm getting off my soapbox now. Okay on to bigger and better things!

My 300th post is just a mere 3 posts away! It's something for Halloween and here's a little sneak peek of the fabric I am using (I am so in love with this fabric) I think it's going to be freaking cute! At least that's the way it looks in my noggin.

sorry the picture is ick! You all know the routine by now.. Old house... Night time.... blah.... blah.... blah...

  1. I totally don't see the book the way you did but I like hearing others views. I loved every minute and loved the way it ended. No hate mail here though. We all have the right to our own view and I like hearing all of it.

  2. That traler was hilarious. Ok, I have to admit I did like the book. I just finished it last night. I am glad it's the last one and it left me feeling pretty content with everything. Listen to me, you'd think it was true story! Jacab imprinting, yea that was a little weird. I can't wait for your giveaway, that fabric is sooo cute!

  3. I agree with you on the book, the pregnancy, I almost stopped reading! Drinking blood, and the baby eating it's way out and then it was this beautiful little girl that loved her mommy.......a little to weird for me! The whole "fight" chapters got really boring and then they just left and life was good, I was disapointed in this book as well!

I can't wait for your giveaway!

  4. The material is SO cute.

  5. i liked the book. i didn't love it like the first one, but i didn't hate it like the 2nd one.
I don't like Jacob and I am so with u on the imprinting thing-yuck!
I was a little dissapointed with the ending. A lot of mind games and not a whole lot of anything else. I think that she should had a little love affair with jacob and then had to chose between the two. I was hoping before I read the book-that she would jacob's baby and marry edward-you know shake it up a bit.
I did enjoy it-not a waste of time like 2. Can you tell how I much i liked 2?

  9. Well, I am so so on the book. I liked it, but there was a lot of weirdness to it. The Jacob imprinting thing was weird, but there had to be some twist that would still tie them together. And the baby growing like a weed thing was a little freaky, but I am glad that it ended the way it did. I am a team Edward member so I was happy.

Love the fabric and can't wait to see what you do with it.

  11. HMMMMMMM.....clearing voice...still not done rofl. I have about 100 pages to go. I am disappointed in some of it. The whole Jacob thing with Renesmee is creeppyyyyyyyyyyyy. I am hoping it explains more why Bella had this sheilding thing when she was still human. My friend said it doesn't explain it and said you would have to see Steph meyers in her interview explaining everything to get that. Whatevaaaaaaa. It should explain it in the book. OKkkkk what are you making with the super duper cute fabric? cherry

  12. My 15 year old and I both readit. We both were incredibly disappointed. That being said...we have participated in a book discussion online about this book and find that either you loved it or you strongly disliked it. Period. My sister is also a huge Twlilight fan and felt Stephanie Meyer really dropped the ball on this one. Maybe it's because the first 3 were at least written in a way that made the whole vampire/werewolf world a little more feasible..less like fantasy. In BD it was so far out of the realm of reality that it was just silly.
We (daughter, sister and I) just feel like Stephanie was under such pressure to produce a GREAT book that she simply crumbled. The whole pregnancy/delivery (ick) took the first half of the book and then she scrambled to tie up loose ends in the second half. Poorly, in my opinion. So, I agree. Not good.
    HOWEVER, the FABRIC is GREAT!

  13. I must say that the book was a tad bit weird, I liked how it started out but I am so in love with Edward myself that the Jacob thing pretty much made me mad! The first two are definately well written and very exciting the last two not so much!

  14. Well, I like feathers. What more can I say? I hated the book 3/4 of the way but really loved the ending. It was fun to see Bella as a vampire. I was so sick of her insecurities in the other books. She finally grew up. I thought her special gift with the 'shielding' was spot on. I mean that's all she cared about as a human was everybody else but herself. I appreciated Edward more, (if that was possible)to see the self-control he exercized. I don't think we can appreciate it until book 4. I didn't see ANY of it coming. Pregnancy? imprinting? That was not in MY plan for book 4. But the more I am away from it now, the more I get used to a baby drinking 'red punch'. :) LOVE the top charm square with the pumpkins and stars!!

oh!I'm exctied for halloween. We want to have a halloween party at our house. I was just thinking what I want to make for Ginger. I think it would be fun to make a strawberry shortcake costume for her.

  19. Read it, didn't like it - was so disappointed that I reread the first three, waited a couple of days, and reread the fourth. I caught a lot more and understood the battle stuff better. I still think of it as a trilogy, but I'll probably keep the fourth book after all.
