{My Newest Addiction}

Rebecca: This post is not for you I know how you feel about the dyes. :)
Thanks to my friend Shauna who is blog-less (I'm working on her) but has good taste buds I have a new drug. Enter: Crystal Lights Immunity On the Go Packets, I love the Cherry Pomegranate & with only 5 Calories per serving I'm sold.
I've never been a Crystal light lover but these little babies just hit the spot when plain jane water just doesn't do it for me. From what I've heard the Strawberry Lemonade, Citrus Splash & Raspberry Lemonade are good as well.
Thanks Shauna I love my new drug.
And Honey, they don't call it Crystal for nothing.
Did you get that Jeanne? :)

{A Sneak Peek}

& now you know the color, I had to go dark only because the door is such a dark green & I couldn't see such a dark door with a white/light cabinet. The small decorating hamster in my head just couldn't take it. So black it is. I'll post the rest of it when it's all finished. Be kind with the comments, it's been a long day with some cranky kids.
Don't you just love the yellow hue of the lighting in my house at night. Sorry....

{A Little Goodbye}

Well my friend Melissa leaves early in the morning for her trek to Montana. Her house is completely empty and the U-haul is packed to the gills with all their earthly possessions. And this is the man who is taking her away. :) I know she has to go But as I took her a little going away gift this evening it was bittersweet, I mean who else is going to go on our late night runs to Wal-Mart or to Denney's for their Deluxe chicken salad just because? Oh and who is going to come over and stay up until the wee hours of the morning watching chic flicks and eating more chocolate than we should? Oh the memories we have had. I have to say I am grateful that we all have blogs so we can look in on each other on a daily basis. We will have to plan that scrappin' getaway when your all settled in. I know your onto bigger and better things So good luck Joe & Melissa I'll know I'll talk to you soon!
Family picture pirated from her sister Gayle's blog hope you don't mind. ;)

{We Are Testing Missiles}

Well, not really but it sure looks like we are around here with all the dirt piles everywhere. Actually we got a new septic system put in. OH HAPPY DAY! It's been super crazy around here the last few days and I'm so glad it's done (well almost). No more worries about flushing and running the water too much. Unfortunately everything will look the same as you see in the pictures until the inspector comes out and passes the system. Then we get to wait for the backhoe man to come back and fill in everything he dug out that could be at least 2 weeks. We have 4 trenches dug at 100 ft each & about 4 1/2 ft.deep, and now in our back yard we are sporting a new 1,000 gal septic tank.
And to top it all off we had to tear apart our laundry room at the same time so we could tie the washing machine drain line into the septic line. So I have 2 nice LARGE holes cut, one in the floor and the other in the wall. Trust me my laundry room has seen better days. Sigh... I hope it gets put back together soon. Anyway this is what we have been up to for the past few. Sorry it's nothing thrilling but it's total good new for us! Now if only I could keep the kids out of all that dirt.

{Memories} A Risky Little Game

Because: 1. It shows you just how many friends you have. 2. It shows you just how many friends you have..... Hence it's title because in the end your either going to love that you played or be sadly disappointed. On to the game AKA Risk...

I don't normally do these kinds of blog "fun-ness" but I posted my own personal and still freaking hilarious memory on Jeanne's blog and now have to do this fun/risky game on mine. So here ya go. Oh and the text below is totally a copy/paste from Miss J's blog. Thanks for the memories girlie!

Memory game! This is a fun one so participate or I'll poke you in the eye.

1. As a comment on this post, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. But you don't have to play IF you don't want to.

Oh and I think I will start painting tonight.. Stay tuned:)

I NEED HELP!

Black or White? It's the question that even Michael Jackson mulls over in his head late at night, sorry bad joke can you tell I'm not a fan of his? Anyway I do need your Help/Input/Decorating advice!!! I need to choose a paint color for my huge TV Cabinet. My lovely SIL Lisa gave it to me, I just love furniture adoption & now I feel the need to paint the beast and I was leaning toward black but now am second guessing my choice. Will it look like a huge mammoth black box in the corner? And if I go with white or another color well... I JUST DON'T KNOW. Please ladies I know you are all out there lurking, leave your 2 cents I would so appreciate it & so would Michael. :)
Yes I see the unpainted door trim and no I'm not going to paint it yet. Have to finish the trim first. I'm beginning to dislike old homes....
And yes that's a screen door on the front. It used to be the door that lead down to the basement of my Grandparents grocery store many years ago, like when my dad was a kid years ago. My Uncle Danny even wrote his name on the inside of the door when he was a wee little lad. I think that is the original paint color on the door I was thinking of sanding it down to just the wood but haven't got that far yet. Oh and I will be replacing the fabric in the screen door. It was in style back in the day but now? yuck! The Nester would cringe if she saw this baby.
Side notes: I have All white trim in the room with some black accents like a shelf with black picture frames and large clock. I also have a white shelf that holds my scrap layouts. My furniture is floral tapestry that will be replaced hopefully next year and
ya know what? Never mind this gibberish I'll just post some pics instead.....

Okay here are some pictures from to many years ago of our living room/dining room before I hung stuff on walls (fresh drywall, didn't want to damage it) and pre-trim. Don't mind all the un-finishedness of it all. I would take new pictures but it's dark and I don't wanna.. ;)
Oh, I also was thinking of repainting that large white shelved piece of furniture below she is the keeper of all things good and holy like our DVD'S. Should I keep her white or paint that bead board beauty black? The crown on it is finished now. But at least you get a little view of the 2 rooms connected and the paint & floor colors.
Phew did you catch all that? Hope so- again any advice would be greatly loved & appreciated. Thanks!

Thumbs Up Friday!

I can't say it....... I just can't say it out loud for fear that he will revert back to his old ways, but this little man did it, it took him longer than his brothers but dang it he did it!!!
He's been sporting man-child underwear for a little over a month now. He is accident free day & night and goes by himself no need to remind this one. I'm pretty happy as now it's down to only one child in this house wearing trees on their tooshie. Total thumbs up bud!
The Cheesy smile says it all.

Getting My Craft On!

Well off I go to the woods where the Creek runs fast and the Ticks roam free! Actually, I am going to "teach" a craft class to about 97 girls. Should be a grand ol' time. Here is the easy picture frame we are making this morning. Wish me luck.

{La' Scrapbooking}

This is what happens over the weekend when your armed with ever so funny friends, a little Strogman, a trip to Dennys, a hermafix dispenser, lots of paper & embellishments and a sewing machine. Oh & let's not forget the endless supply of peanut M&M chocolate goodness.

I was able to make just a smallish dent in my ever growing pile of pictures but a dent is a dent right? I'm not in love with all of them because I had such a hard time getting my scrapping mojo on. Plus I had to hand journal {GAPS} I hate seeing my writing on anything & it's been years since my fugly penmanship has been shown on a page so I figured it was about time. But now that I'm back I get to use my lovely computer fonts to finish/fix a few of my pages.

I wish I could have completed more pages but alas I'm a slow scrapper who spends way to much time a one page. It's about quality not quantity right? :) Yeah I'll say anything to make my slow scrapping self feel better

Warning: some pages may be offensive to your eyeballs.
You've been warned my friends......Sorry about my crooked/dark pictures I was in a hurry as was my cranky 8 month old baby.
